Man Leaves Loaded Gun with Daughter to Get Tattoo
A New Mexico dad is facing child endangerment charges after he left his handgun with his 11-year-old daughter while he went to get a tattoo.
Authorities in Albuquerque say that John Ruiz left the loaded .22 with his daughter "for protection." Neighbors called the police after they saw the girl with the gun at an apartment complex swimming pool.
Ruiz, who told reporters following his court appearance on Monday that he made a "mistake," was released on $15,000 bond.
